Role: Design Director / Designer
Scope: Product Design · Product Development

Challenge

Create a compact sofa with an approachable character and strong identity while maintaining the simplicity and versatility required for contemporary residential interiors.

Design Response

Mochi was developed around continuous rounded forms, with the backrest and armrests flowing into a single soft gesture. An exposed wooden structure beneath the seat introduces contrast and gives the otherwise upholstered composition a clear architectural foundation.

Development

The design was refined through proportion, material relationships, and controlled detailing, balancing the visual softness of the upholstery with the precision and structural expression of the wooden detail.

Outcome

A compact and accessible sofa with a distinctive identity, combining comfort, softness, and visible construction accent within a minimal contemporary language.
